  • Andrew D. Ver Planck, CFA
    Senior Vice President,Chief Investment Officer & Lead Portfolio Manager

    Andrew Ver Planck joined Cornerstone Capital Management Holdings LLC (including predecessor entities) in 2006. He leads the quantitative research team and is responsible for all portfolio management decisions for quantitatively managed products. Previously, he spent three years as a Senior Quantitative Analyst at Gartmore Investment Management in London where he was part of a management team responsible for long/short market-neutral hedge funds investing in Europe, Asia, and the US. In addition, he co-managed a long-only fund benchmarked to the EAFE Small Capitalization Index. Prior to Gartmore, Andrew was a Quantitative Investment Associate at Putnam Investments in Boston where he began his career in quantitative equity research. Andrew graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science degree in operations research and industrial engineering. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation from the CFA Institute.

  • Carlos Garcia-Tunon, CFA
    Vice President, Lead Portfolio Manager

    Carlos Garcia-Tunon joined Cornerstone (including predecessor entities) in 2011 and serves as Lead Portfolio Manager for Fundamental Equity investment team. In addition to his portfolio management responsibilities, Carlos provides research coverage for the team. He is responsible for the implementation of the firm’s International Equity strategies. Previously, Carlos spent seven years at Morgan Stanley, initially serving as a Health Care sector analyst before serving as a Research Analyst and Portfolio Manager for the Global Growth Team. In addition, Carlos spent four years working at JPMorgan as an analyst and Portfolio Manager. Carlos graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Georgetown University and earned his MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a Robert Toigo Foundation fellow. Carlos holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation from the CFA Institute and is a member of the New York Society for Security Analysts.

  • Lawrence Rosenberg, CFA
    Vice President, Portfolio Manager, and Senior Analyst

    Lawrence Rosenberg joined Cornerstone in 2011 and is a Portfolio Manager on the Fundamental Equity investment team.Previously, Lawrence was a Research Analyst at MacKay Shields in the International Equity Division. Prior to joining MacKay Shields in 2009, he was a buy-side Analyst at Nomura Asset Management, responsible for covering all North American financial institutions. Earlier in his career, Lawrence worked for Goldman Sachs as a sell-side equity Analyst covering various financial institutions out of New York, Sydney and London. Lawrence earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Music from The Peabody Conservatory of Music. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation from the CFA Institute.

    Ian Murdoch joined Cornerstone in 2011 and is a Portfolio Manager on the Fundamental Equity investment team. Prior to joining Cornerstone, Ian was a Research Analyst at MacKay Shields in the International Equity Division. Before joining MacKay Shields in 2009, he was an Equity Analyst at Oppenheimer Capital and at Clay Finlay LLC. In his previous roles, Ian followed a number of sectors including Energy, Materials, Consumer Staples, Consumer Discretionary, and Utilities. Ian graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Columbia University and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation from the CFA Institute.

    Vice President, Portfolio Manager, and Senior Analyst

    Ping Wang joined Cornerstone in 2017 as a Portfolio Manager & Senior Analyst, and is responsible for the management of the firm’s systematic equity strategies. Previously, he spent four years as a Senior Global Portfolio Manager at Quantitative Management Associates (QMA), where he was responsible for investment strategy development, portfolio construction, and portfolio management of developed and emerging market long-only and long/short equity strategies. Ping also spent four years at TIAA-CREF Asset Management as a Portfolio Manager for the firm’s international quantitative equity strategies. He began his career as a Research Scientist at Fusion Technology Institute in 1992, where he developed large-scale computer codes for atomic physics calculations and opacity modeling. Ping earned his Bachelor of Science in Physics from Beijing Normal University in 1982 and his Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Wisconsin in 1992.

    Vice President, Portfolio Manager & Senior Analyst

    Mona Patni joined Cornerstone Capital Management Holdings LLC (including predecessor entities) in 2002 and is responsible for the management of the quantitative equity strategies. Previously, she was with the Investment Consulting Group (ICG) of New York Life Investments. At ICG, Mona assisted in the development of a manager due diligence process in order to highlight portfolios with inconsistencies, researched and developed vendor selection criteria, and evaluated alternative asset-mixes for education funding plans. Before ICG, Mona was a Principal Consultant in the Financial Services Division at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where she helped several companies in the financial services industry launch successful applications. In addition, she evaluated existing processes at several firms and made recommendations to improve them. She started her career as a Systems Analyst at Tata Unisys Ltd in Mumbai in 2001. Mona graduated from the University of Bombay with a degree in computer science engineering and earned her MBA from NYU Stern School of Business. She is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma honor society at NYU Stern School of Business.

    Migene joined Cornerstone Capital Management Holdings LLC (including predecessor entities) in 2005 and is a Portfolio Manager & Senior Analyst, responsible for the management of the firm’s global systematic equity strategies. Previously, she spent seven years as a quantitative Research Analyst in INVESCO’s Structured Products Group, where she was responsible for model development and portfolio construction of quantitative long/short market-neutral and long-only strategies. She started her career as an Analyst at Chase Manhattan Bank in 1993, where she developed market risk models and managed risk policies and exposures for global equity and commodity products. Migene earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in mathematics in three years, graduating summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. She earned her MBA in financial engineering from the MIT Sloan School of Management and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation from the CFA Institute.
