As the Fund’s investments are concentrated in the real estate sector, it is exposed to concentration risk, interest rate risk, leverage risk, property risk and management risk. The Fund is concentrated in small capitalization companies, whose stock prices generally are more volatile than those of larger companies. The Fund is non-diversified and is susceptible to greater losses if a single portfolio investment declines than would a diversified fund. The fund is not suitable for all investors. Investors in the Fund should be willing to accept a high degree of volatility in the price of the Fund's Shares and the possibility of significant losses. An investment in the Fund involves a substantial degree of risk and the Fund does not represent a complete investment program.

* Fund Inception Date: June 14, 2011. The Index and Fund performance since inception in the table above is based on the Fund inception date. The Index inception date is May 31, 2011.

1. IOPV, or Indicative Optimized Portfolio Value, is a calculation disseminated by the stock exchange that approximates the Fund's NAV every 15 seconds throughout the trading day.

2. As stated in the Fund's prospectus, the management fee of 0.69% is expressed as a unitary fee to cover certain expenses incurred in connection with managing the portfolio.

3. Morningstar is an independent fund performance monitor. For each fund with at least a three-year history, Morningstar calculates a Morningstar Rating based on a Morningstar Risk-Adjusted Return measure that accounts for variation in a fund’s monthly performance (including the effects of sales charges, loads, and redemption fees), placing more emphasis on downward variations and rewarding consistent performance. The top 10% of funds in each category receive five stars, the next 22.5% receive four stars, the next 35% receive three stars, the next 22.5% receive two stars, and the bottom 10% receive one star. The Overall Morningstar Rating is derived from a weighted average of the performance figures associated with its three-, five-, and 10-year (if applicable) Morningstar Rating metrics. Funds with less than three years of performance history are not rated. For the period ended 10/31/16, IQ US Real Estate Small Cap ETF rated four stars overall and two and five stars for the three- and five-year periods, respectively, from among 14 and 14 US ETF Multialternative ETFs, respectively.

IndexIQ shares are bought and sold at market price (not NAV) and are not individually redeemed from the Fund. Total Returns are calculated using the daily 4:00 pm ET net asset value (NAV). Market price returns reflect the share price as of the close of trading on the exchange where Fund shares are listed. Market price returns do not represent the returns you would receive if you traded shares at other times.

Real estate investment trusts distribute income. Investors in ROOF do not receive K-1s for tax reporting purposes. IndexIQ distributes a single Form 1099 to its shareholders.

The IQ US Real Estate Small Cap Index is a rules based, modified capitalization weighted, float adjusted index intended to give investors a means of tracking the overall performance of small capitalization U.S. real estate companies. The Index is the exclusive property of IndexIQ, which has contracted with Structured Solutions to maintain and calculate the Index.

Market price returns reflect the share price as of the close of trading on the exchange where Fund shares are listed.
